Bible Mission Leadership History
The history of Bible Mission leadership is a testimony to God's faithfulness and the unwavering dedication of His servants. The origin of this divine movement dates back to January 31, 1938, when, at 3:00 PM in broad daylight, God wrote the words “Bible Mission” in the air and revealed them to Father M. Devadasu Ayyagaru. In humble obedience to this heavenly revelation, Father M. Devadasu Ayyagaru established the Bible Mission, always confessing that its true Founder was the Lord Jesus Christ and not himself.
From 1938 onward, God raised successive Presidents to shepherd and guide the Mission according to His divine purpose. Looking unto God for wisdom, strength, and direction, these faithful leaders endured numerous hardships, challenges, and opposition. Through perseverance, prayer, sacrifice, and steadfast faith, they carried forward the vision entrusted by God, spreading the message of Divine Presence (Daiva Sannidhi) and preparing the church for Second coming of Jesus Christ.
Each President served as a faithful steward of this sacred trust, preserving the spiritual heritage of the Mission while expanding its reach across generations. Their lives and ministries stand as enduring examples of commitment, humility, and obedience to God's calling.
This Leadership History honors the Presidents who served Bible Mission from 1938 to the present, recognizing their invaluable contributions in advancing the Mission entrusted by God through His servant, Father M. Devadasu, for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mungamuri Devadasu Ayyagaru
1876 – 1960On January 31, 1938, at 3:00 PM in broad daylight, God wrote the words "Bible Mission" in the air and revealed them to Father M. Devadasu. In humble obedience to this divine revelation, he established the Bible Mission, always confessing that its true Founder was the Lord Jesus Christ and not himself.
The central message of the Bible Mission is that God appears to and speaks with those who dwell at His feet in prayer, waiting, and communion. Though he came from humble beginnings, Father Devadasu was a chosen vessel, divinely inspired and gifted by God. His prayer songs, teachings, and messages flowed from direct divine revelation and intimate fellowship with the Lord.
Father Devadasu is widely recognized as a pioneer of the Holy Spirit Revival in twentieth-century Andhra Pradesh. Through his ministry, countless servants of God received spiritual blessings and guidance, making him a source of blessing to multitudes. As a devoted student at the feet of the Master, he became an effective teacher, imparting practical guidance for spiritual growth and victorious Christian living. He taught believers how to resist the powers of darkness and walk in triumph through faith in Christ.
Among his notable prophetic declarations was his conviction that India would become a center for carrying the Gospel message to the nations of the world. He established divine healing centers where many experienced healing from sickness, deliverance from oppression, and freedom from the powers of darkness. He firmly believed and proclaimed that the God of the Bible continues to perform wonders and miracles through His Church whenever and wherever necessary.
As a herald of the Lord's coming, Father Devadasu gave special emphasis to the study of the Book of Revelation and the Song of Songs, focusing on the presence of God and the glory of the Bride, the Church. His teachings consistently pointed believers toward a deeper relationship with Christ and a greater readiness for His return.
It is no exaggeration to say that any description of Father Devadasu falls short of the reality of his life and ministry. His teachings were thoroughly evangelical, firmly rooted in the Holy Scriptures, and centered on the grace of God. He provided practical guidance for a life of Christian witness, emphasizing that salvation is entirely by God's grace and that the same grace enables believers to do His will. As one Lutheran missionary observed, "This is what is needed by His people in the Church."
Father Devadasu's influence extends far beyond the borders of South India. Believers across the world continue to draw inspiration from his life, teachings, and example. His message of God's love, salvation, and divine fellowship transcends cultural, linguistic, and denominational boundaries, touching hearts in every generation.
The life of Father M. Devadasu stands as a testimony to the transforming power of divine encounter and wholehearted obedience to God. Through the revelation of the Bible Mission, his ministry of prayer, healing, teaching, and spiritual awakening, he left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire people everywhere to seek a deeper intimacy with God and to walk faithfully in His presence.
