Topical Prayers

Prayer 1 – A Deep Longing for Divine Fellowship

O Father who hears prayer! Just as You said, "I saw you under the fig tree," You know us too, even before our prayers are spoken. And so, we offer You thanks in advance, even before our prayers are answered. Grant us this great faith, this precious fellowship with You. To have You is the only true blessing. To abide in You is the only true state of being.

We ask that before we reach Heaven, we may experience that blessed state right here on earth. You declared in Your Word, “The Lord is my portion; I lack nothing in this world.” What a wonder that is! We too desire to say the same—that if we have You, Lord, then nothing in this world is truly lacking.

It is not merely a truth to be written in the Bible—it must become our personal testimony, just as Paul said, “I have no need of anything.”

What extraordinary faith! What depth of mystery! What awe-inspiring truth! Who in this world can say, “I need nothing from the world,” while still living in it? People will ask, “If you say you need nothing—what will you eat? What will you wear? What will you buy?” But to be able to say, “I need nothing”—what an astonishing experience!

Paul, having seen all the riches of the world, called it all “dung”—a pile of waste. Who else can speak like that? Paul did. And if only we too could have such an experience—what joy that would be!

If someone asks, “Who is in your room?” we would say, “The Lord Jesus and I.” And if they ask, “Did you hear what they said?” we would reply, “No, I didn’t.” Even if ten people were in that room, it would feel as though no one else was there. Such is the depth of intimacy and communion we long to have with You, Lord.

Lord, grant us such great faith! Just as You said to Moses, “I have seen the suffering of My people in Egypt,”—what a deeply moving word! Imagine the joy they must have felt when they heard that!

Lord, when we cry out, “Heal my sickness,” and You respond, “I know,”—how comforting that is. And You did not just say it to Moses—you say it to us in this very room, to us who are restless and easily discouraged. So, we ask: fulfill it, Lord.

Teach us to say, “I lack nothing,” even when the world seems to say otherwise. According to Your Word: “Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides You.” There are countless believers around the world—but how many truly know this verse? If every saint on earth read this verse, could they say, “By God's power, this is my experience”? But we want to say it, Lord. Let it become our truth.

Why do people cry out, “God didn’t hear my prayer,” or say, “This is missing, that is lacking,” and speak against You? The world is full of shallow blessings—a glitter that does not satisfy. But You said, “My peace I give you, not as the world gives.” O Father, what a powerful Word! “Dung,” “no need,” and “peace”—these three words humble us.

Your Word says, “When I remember the works of Your mercy toward me, my face is covered in shame.” How could such great grace be given to such a great sinner? Like Paul, we are humbled. We are not worthy. Yet You have bestowed upon us such blessing and favor.

O Lord, we cannot fully comprehend Your love. “Why such love for such a sinner?” we ask. Father, grant the desires of those who have come from distant places. Reveal Your love and holiness in them. Let Your believers across every district and region be united. How joyful it would be if we could all gather together and speak only of the glorious things of God.

Right now, we are unable to bring everyone together. But give us time—abundant time and space—to share all these things. Make that moment come, Lord, when we can gather and speak of nothing but Your goodness. Let Your divine timing become our time.

We ask all this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer 2 – Praise for God's Attributes

i. Love

Heavenly Father, You are love. We praise You for being the embodiment of love. Thank You for allowing us, as human beings, to experience and share in Your divine nature. Even before we were born, even before we ever loved You, You loved us. Thank You, Lord. You knew that we would be sinners, that we would be disobedient, and yet You chose to love us still. How amazing is Your grace!

To reveal Your love, You appointed angels to minister to us and prepared the earth as a dwelling place for us. Thank You, Lord. You provided everything we need even before we asked. When we were lost, You sent Your beloved Son to save us. In giving Your Son, You gave us everything. How can we ever repay You?

What could we possibly give in return for such love? Only our love. May we love You with all our hearts as a humble offering of gratitude.

O loving Father, O gracious Father, we praise You for the nature of Your love, the works of Your love, the call of Your love, the fellowship of Your love, and the words of love You inspired in the Holy Scriptures.

In times of trouble, hardship, and testing, when help seems delayed, we often falter and wrongly assume You have forgotten us. Forgive us, Lord. It is our weakness that we fail to understand the depth of Your love. We cannot grasp how high, how wide, and how deep it truly is.

Yet, Father, You surround us with such great and unfailing love. How can we not praise You? We offer these words of thanksgiving in the name of Your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

ii. Omnipotence (All-Powerful Nature of God)

Almighty God, there is nothing You cannot do. For this, we praise You. You are the One who has the power to fulfill everything You have purposed for us, even to the very end. Thank You, Lord.

We thank You, Father, because You are able to answer every prayer we offer. You bless us with help far beyond what we can ask or imagine. Thank You!

You cannot do anything related to sin, and that is precisely why You are truly all-powerful. Glory be to Your name! You are the Father who helps us not to fall into sin. Thank You, Lord.

Grant us the grace to believe that when You work in our lives, You are exercising Your almighty power. Help us not to focus on our own weakness, but instead to look upon Your strength working within us.

We believe and praise You, for Your power removes our weakness. Your power goes before us, and in the end it is by Your power alone that we are saved.

We worship You, Almighty God. Amen.

iii. Justice – The Righteousness of God

Righteous God, we praise You for the justice You carry out by helping those who live in You. You reveal Yourself to those who pray to You, who live according to Your Word, and who walk in obedience to You. Thank You, Lord.

O Judge of all the earth, we praise You for the justice You perform through Your righteous nature. We remember Your precious promise:

  • "Whoever comes to Me, I will never cast them away."

For this wonderful promise, we give You thanks.

Father, what a comfort it is to know that the righteous Judge is also our loving Father. Grant us steadfast faith that trusts You will surely provide everything we truly need.

O gracious Father, You are holy and just. Even though we, Your children, sometimes disobey Your commandments, You allow us to face the consequences—not out of anger, but as the fulfillment of Your divine justice. For this also, we praise You.

Compassionate Father, You do not withhold trials from us. Instead, through those very trials You teach us Your commandments, guide us in Your ways, and then, in Your mercy, reward us for walking in them.

You are a just and loving Father, and we worship You. Amen.

iv. Sovereignty – The Absolute Authority of God

Sovereign Lord, we praise You, for You have complete authority over all that You have created. Everything in existence is under Your perfect rule. Glory be to Your name!

We rejoice in and willingly submit to Your authority. Because we are under Your covering, we thank You that neither the devil, nor his agents, nor anything related to him has any power over us.

O Sovereign God, since all authority belongs to You, we rejoice in the blessing of walking not according to our own will, but according to Yours.

Had Your authority not governed our lives, our own self-will would have led us into many troubles. Let that never be, Lord!

Therefore, we joyfully bow before Your supreme authority and say from our hearts:

  • "Let Your will be done, O Lord!"

v. Divine Status – The Greatness of God

O God, we praise You simply because You are God. Since You are God, You are greater than all the worlds, greater than everyone and everything. Worthy are You to be praised!

Heavenly Father, whatever seems great in our eyes is not truly great—only You are truly great. We praise You for revealing Yourself in this way.

O God above all so-called gods, You are far greater than the gods people imagine or create. Praise be to You!

Whatever we see, whatever we desire, whatever we understand, whatever we possess—even all that humanity discovers or invents—none of it compares with You. You alone are the greatest of all. Thank You, Lord!

Even if we possessed nothing else, if we had only You, we would still have everything. Whenever we look at the many blessings You have given us, we are reminded that You, the Giver, are greater than every gift.

O God, You are our Lord—the Lord of all. Rule and authority belong entirely to You. Because You are Lord over our lives, we trust You to guide us in the paths of righteousness and truth.

Since You are our Lord, we are Your people. Under Your reign we find safety, peace, and joy. Just as the people in Solomon's kingdom lived securely under their own vine and fig tree, how much greater is the peace found under Your everlasting Kingdom.

You are the Great King above all kings. We worship You, our sovereign and glorious God.

vi. Holiness

O Heavenly Father, You are holy—so holy that no one can truly comprehend the fullness of Your purity. Your holiness is beyond all human understanding. Even the angels, who have never known sin, cannot stand unveiled before Your glorious presence. Your Word tells us that they cover their faces with their wings before the radiance of Your holiness. How great and awe-inspiring You truly are!

O Most Holy God, how can we ever praise You adequately? However pure our worship may appear, there is always some imperfection within it. However sincere our hearts may be, some impurity still remains. Before Your infinite holiness, what can truly be called holy?

Your Word declares that even the light of the sun and moon is not pure in comparison with Your brightness. Then what are we? How can we stand before such a holy God? Yet we praise You because there is absolutely no fault in You.

You are perfect, and the love You have shown toward us is perfectly pure. We cannot fully describe it; we can only bow before You in reverence and gratitude.

Because You are holy, You created everything in holiness and with divine purpose. Because You are holy, You have called us not merely to perform religious rituals, but to worship You in spirit and truth together with the holy ones.

What else can we do except humbly ask that You accept the little praise we are able to offer? We thank You, Holy Father, for Your unmatched holiness, Your faultless love, and for calling us into Your holy presence.

O Most Holy God! Even though You are supremely holy, You chose to enter this sinful world by taking human form. Yet Your holiness was never diminished. Just as sunlight falls upon unclean places without losing its brilliance, so Your purity remained unstained even when You drew near to sinners.

Even when You sat and ate with sinners and tax collectors, You remained holy. When the unclean woman touched You, Your holiness remained untouched and undefiled.

Not only while reigning in heaven, but even after taking on human flesh, You remained perfectly holy. Who could ever convict You of sin? Every work You performed was holy.

  • Your creation was holy.
  • Your earthly ministry was holy.
  • Your teachings were holy.
  • Your sufferings were holy.
  • Your sacrifice was holy.

All these proclaim that You alone are the Holy One.

We praise You, Lord Jesus Christ, because among all who are called saviors, You alone are the true Savior. Because You are holy and without sin, You alone are able to save all mankind. You alone are worthy to be our Redeemer.

We thank You, our Holy Savior. When You return again in glory, how joyful we shall be to behold Your radiant face. We offer You all praise, Most Holy One.

O Most Holy One, Holy Spirit of God, Life-giving Spirit, Dove of Salvation—we praise You because You are holy. We know only a small measure of Your holiness through what You have graciously revealed to us, yet even that fills our hearts with awe.

O God who appeared as tongues of fire, if even those flames are holy, how much more glorious must You be! Though we are sinners, You willingly dwell within us. Your holiness is blameless, perfect, and without any shadow of evil.

Spirit of Holiness, You have transformed hearts that were once worthless and continue to refine them day by day. We cannot imagine what glorious vessels You will make of us in eternity.

O Holy God, Your works are holy, Your transforming power is marvelous, and Your light continually creates new life within us.

Holy Spirit of God, who hovered over creation in the beginning and who even now strengthens the Church to cry, "Come, Lord Jesus!", we give You everlasting glory, honor, praise, and thanksgiving.

vii. Omnipresence

O God, You are everywhere present. Therefore we offer You our praises. You created everything, and wherever creation exists, there also You are.

Nothing You have created is separated from You. You are present in heaven, upon the earth, and throughout all creation.

Wherever we are, You are with us. You remove our loneliness, strengthen our hearts, and remain near to all who call upon You.

There is no place where You are absent. Nothing exists apart from Your presence. Therefore we praise and thank You everywhere.

In the blink of an eye You can be anywhere, at any time. We thank You for revealing to us the glorious truth of Your omnipresence.

viii. Life

O God, Source of all life! Whenever the life within us grows weak, You revive us with new strength. You restore our souls and fill us once again with the joy of eternal life.

For this gift of divine life, we offer You everlasting praise.

ix. Wisdom

O God of infinite wisdom, You know our struggles and desires even before we speak them. Because You know all things, You are able to remove every obstacle and fulfill Your perfect will in our lives.

We praise You with all the understanding You have given us and honor You for Your perfect wisdom.

x. The Formless One

O God who is beyond all form, though our weakness prevents us from seeing You, we know You continually watch over us.

Though You are formless, You graciously gave us bodies to serve You and souls capable of knowing You. With both body and spirit we offer You our praise.

You are unseen, yet always near. You are without form, yet present everywhere.

xi. The God of Freedom

O Sovereign Father, God of true freedom, You are completely self-sufficient and accomplish all things according to Your own will.

Yet in Your love You have also granted us the freedom to choose, to obey, and to worship You willingly rather than by compulsion.

Thank You for giving us the precious gift of free will, enabling us to choose You above everything else.

For this gift of freedom, we offer You our deepest praise.

xii. The Triune God

O Father—the One true God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—we offer You countless praises for revealing Yourself to us.

You are One, yet You have revealed Yourself as Three. Though our minds cannot fully understand this divine mystery, we believe with all our hearts.

We trust that when we stand before You in heaven, we shall know You more fully than we do now.

Your greatness has no end, and throughout eternity we shall continue discovering the riches of Your glorious nature.

Therefore we offer You endless praise.

xiii. The Glorious One! The Joyful One!

O Radiant One, full of glory and everlasting joy, we believe that You will grant us the eternal privilege of dwelling in Your presence, beholding Your face, experiencing Your nearness, and abiding forever in unbroken fellowship with You.

With this blessed hope we rejoice and offer You abundant praise forever. Amen.

Prayer 3 – Prayer of Harmony

Father! In all creation, is there anything that does not belong to You? O God, the world is Yours; the angels are Yours; the heavenly kingdom of salvation is Yours. The sun, moon, and stars belong to You. The earth is Yours; the depths below are Yours; even hell is under Your authority. The atmosphere itself belongs to You.

Just as every village, every house, every field, and every possession within a king's kingdom belongs to the king, so also everything throughout creation belongs to You.

The noble places belong to You. The holy places belong to You. Even prisons, humble dwellings, unclean places, and gatherings of the wicked remain under Your sovereign authority. Every place where good and evil exist is still under Your dominion.

Therefore, at Your appointed time, You will set everything in perfect order. Even the smallest particle in this vast universe is known to You. Until the end of time, everything remains under Your rule, and until the end, we also remain under Your loving dominion.

You are able to do all things. You are able to give all things. You are our Creator God; therefore, we joyfully declare:

  • "I shall not want."

O Father, You are the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Yet many among us have never truly learned how to receive what You freely desire to give. That is why You have gathered us together in these fellowships—to teach us how to receive from You.

Have mercy upon us, Lord. Teach us today the lessons You desire us to learn. Open our hearts so that we may receive every blessing You have prepared for us.

The prodigal son possessed everything while he remained in his father's house, yet he could never sing the song, "I have no lack," after leaving his father's presence. Likewise, if we depart from Your blessings, emptiness and lack immediately follow.

What profit is there if we study many lessons, write many notes, and gain much knowledge, yet ultimately experience the misery of the lost son?

Therefore, Lord, grant us the blessed privilege of possessing everything in You. Help us to live content, complete, and fully satisfied in Your presence.

May our greatest treasure always be You. May our hearts never wander away from Your fellowship. Let us continually experience the joy of saying:

  • "The Lord is my portion."
  • "I shall not want."
  • "In Him I possess everything."

We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer 4 – Prayer for the Word

O Father, revealed as Three in One, we praise You! Though we are unworthy, You have graciously accepted us as Your children. For this wonderful privilege we lift our hearts in thanksgiving and worship.

You are present here among us. You dwell in heaven, among the holy angels, among the saints, throughout the heavens, and upon the earth. Even here, where we gather together, Your presence surrounds us.

For this wonderful assurance, we offer You abundant praise and thanksgiving.

Grant us, who are weak, a living Word that strengthens our faith.

Grant us, who are unworthy, a Word that is pure and holy.

Grant us, who lack understanding, a Word filled with heavenly wisdom.

Grant us, who often stumble in our walk, the grace to live according to Your Holy Word.

Bless every soul gathered here today. May even the youngest believer and the weakest among us receive at least one living Word that transforms the heart forever.

May Your Word renew our minds, strengthen our spirits, deepen our faith, and guide our lives according to Your perfect will.

Let every heart become fertile ground where Your Word takes root, grows abundantly, and bears lasting spiritual fruit.

We ask all these things in the powerful, holy, and precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Prayer 5 – Prayer for the Understanding of the Word

Merciful Lord, once You spoke Your words upon mountains, in forests, within temples, at sacred waters, in homes, in wilderness dwellings, in courts, in village assemblies, in gardens, upon the Cross, along roads, and even in secret places. In countless settings, You revealed Yourself.

When we gather together and meditate upon these words, we come to know that You are fully God, fully Man, overflowing with mercy, compassion, and everlasting love toward all people.

Now, Lord, at this very moment, take the words from Your Holy Scriptures and breathe life into them within our hearts just as You did when You first spoke them.

May Your Holy Spirit awaken understanding within us so that, as we meditate upon Your Word, Your presence becomes real, Your glory becomes visible, and Your divine power fills our lives.

Grant us the grace to receive Your Word:

  • Without weariness.
  • Without discouragement.
  • Without doubt.
  • Without unbelief.
  • With joyful obedience.

Help us believe that whatever You command, You also give us the grace to fulfill. Let Your Word become living and active within our hearts rather than remaining only as written words upon a page.

We trust, O Lord, that every petition and prayer we place before You in Your appointed time shall be answered according to Your perfect will.

For this confidence, we offer You endless praise and thanksgiving.

Fill us with:

  • Joy.
  • Strength.
  • Health.
  • Wisdom.
  • Holiness.
  • Spiritual understanding.

When tomorrow's work, responsibilities, and trials arrive, sustain every one of us so that no one grows weary, loses heart, or falls away from Your path.

May Your Word continually strengthen us and remain alive within us throughout every season of life.

We ask all these things in the holy and precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Prayer 6 – Prayer of Meditation on the Cross

Merciful Lord Jesus, You willingly endured suffering. Though You fully knew the agony, shame, and pain that awaited You upon the Cross, You still came into this world and embraced every suffering for our sake.

We are weak and fearful. Left to ourselves, we could never have endured such pain. Yet You, in Your infinite love, willingly accepted the Cross in order to redeem us.

For this immeasurable love, we bow before You with thanksgiving, worship, and adoration.

Your sufferings were never for Yourself—they were entirely for us.

Within Your Cross we behold three sacred truths:

  • Your Greatness.
  • Your Glory.
  • Your Goodness.

Grant us the grace to meditate deeply upon these three divine truths so that our hearts may understand the mystery of Your redeeming love.

Even if a preacher teaches many wonderful things, if the Cross is not proclaimed, the message remains incomplete.

Likewise, even if we receive many blessings, witness many miracles, experience many visions, or have many burdens removed, if we have not truly known the Cross, what lasting profit have we gained?

Therefore, Lord, although we are few in number and have only a little time, awaken within us a holy longing to meditate upon Your Cross every day.

Fill our minds with thoughts of You alone.

Strengthen our hearts with:

  • Courage.
  • Comfort.
  • Faith.
  • Hope.
  • Perseverance.

Lord, wherever believers throughout the world meditate upon Your Cross, be present among them. Remove unbelief, spiritual indifference, and every distraction that prevents them from drawing near to You.

May Your Cross continually bring renewal, victory, peace, and transformation into our lives.

Every suffering we deserved, You willingly bore.

You carried:

  • Our sins.
  • Our punishment.
  • Our sicknesses.
  • Our sorrows.
  • Our shame.

Through this divine exchange of love, You have given us forgiveness, healing, righteousness, peace, and eternal life.

For this priceless gift we offer You endless thanksgiving, worship, praise, and adoration.

O Lord, You have revealed through Your suffering the perfection of Your greatness, Your glory, and Your goodness.

Seal these truths deeply within our hearts so that we may live each day in the power, victory, and wonder of Your Cross.

Amen.

Prayer 7 – Prayer for Proclaiming the Gospel

O God, the Creator! Cause creation to proclaim Your message to all creation. O Lord, every day You bless Your creation, especially humanity, and we give You praises for this.

As written in Isaiah 27, You bless Your creation daily. We offer You endless worship and thanksgiving. Grant that those who receive Your blessings may, in turn, help others share these blessings with the world.

Even lifeless things, inspired by Your Word, may convey messages in sequence, appearing in each person's dreams to proclaim the Gospel.

Grant that living beings, capable of speech, may openly proclaim the Gospel through dreams and visions.

  • Birds
  • Insects
  • Wild animals
  • Domestic animals such as village livestock and pet chickens

O God, grant that all living creatures may proclaim the Gospel through Your Word.

Enable even unbelievers to proclaim Your Gospel to one another, inspired by Your grace. Send forth the souls of the faithful near every person to proclaim Your message.

Send the holy beings of heaven and the angels to assist in proclaiming the Gospel. After this work is carried out, You Yourself will go and deliver the Gospel message to every individual.

Then the Second Coming will not yet occur. This entire mission can be completed within a month.

  • On the first day, send the first group.
  • On the second day, send the next group.
  • Continue this sequence until every person has heard the Gospel.

O Lord, this plan has come to my mind. After this, let Your will be accomplished according to Your perfect plan.

Accept and fulfill the ten matters we mentioned in our nightly prayers.

Now, fulfill the desires of everyone present in this room. Bless the anointed oil brought by the sick.

Even as Your Word and Scripture declare, Your words surpass all medicines. Grant that everything may be used effectively by Your grace.

Grant the protection of Your holy angels. Deliver everyone from all the works of Satan, and bless them with peaceful and refreshing sleep.

Bless us so that we may begin our work tomorrow morning under Your guidance and protection.

May both our personal prayers and our public prayers, offered in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, be fully accepted and answered.

Amen.

Prayer 8 – Prayer for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

O Lord! You poured out the Holy Spirit upon Your disciples. O Father! It is a great wonder that You gave us Your Son, but an even greater wonder that You have also given us Your Spirit. Fill our hearts with gratitude and praise.

On behalf of all generations of the Church, we lift up thanksgiving to You:

  • The Early Church.
  • The Church of reason and debate.
  • The Church of persecution.
  • The Church of darkness.
  • The Missionary Church.
  • The Church of the present day.

We praise You for every soul whose heart reaches upward toward You. Just as snails, animals, and birds look toward the sky in expectation of rain, so also all those who earnestly seek Your Spirit—we lift praise for them.

For all the people on the earth at this moment, for those who have received the Holy Spirit, and for those who long to receive Him, we thank You.

Lord, we are not worthy of Your grace, yet You promised:

  • "As one stretches out a hand to pluck fruit from a tree, so will I give My Spirit to those who seek."

Pour out Your Spirit upon us.

Grant us strength to endure the burdens of mind, body, and spirit that may come upon us in this world, so that we may never be overwhelmed.

Let us rejoice even in the midst of trials, for only through perseverance may we enter the Bride's procession.

Without complete repentance and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, no one can join the Bride's company.

As the Scriptures teach through the parable of the ten virgins:

  • Five virgins were prepared and entered with the Bridegroom.
  • Five went to buy oil and arrived too late.
  • The door was shut before they entered.
  • Those who delay may seek repentance later, but the door to the Bride's chamber will remain closed.

Therefore, O Lord, reveal clearly to our hearts these two essential truths:

  • Complete repentance is necessary.
  • Full baptism of the Holy Spirit is required.

Our hearts and minds are weak and untrustworthy. We are easily led into error.

Grant us vigilance, wisdom, discernment, and grace so that we may remain spiritually alert and faithful until the end.

The saints of old willingly embraced hardship, endured suffering, and looked forward to eternal glory. Help us to follow their example with perseverance and faith.

Once, a devout woman spoke these noble words. When her husband scolded her, she replied:

  • "My dear, speak as much as you wish—if the Lord Jesus endured such great suffering, why should I not endure a little?"

Indeed, we often pray:

  • "Lord, remove suffering."
  • "Lord, let suffering not come."

But rarely do we pray:

  • "Lord, let suffering come, that I may share in Your glory."

Grant us, O Lord, the grace to endure suffering and to receive heavenly reward and eternal glory through it.

Lord Jesus, if You overcame everything, why should we not also endure through Your strength?

May our words, our conduct, and our endurance inspire others to recognize that we truly belong to You.

Grant us a life of watchfulness, carefulness, and spiritual vigilance.

Help us walk faithfully by:

  • Praying earnestly.
  • Enduring trials patiently.
  • Receiving the Holy Spirit fully.
  • Remaining steadfast in Your presence.

May our hearts never be shaken by fear, anxiety, discouragement, or worldly distractions.

Instead, we humbly ask:

  • Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and divine strength.
  • Protect us from distractions, anxiety, and despair.
  • Enable us to rejoice even in trials.
  • Help us advance faithfully in Your service.
  • Make our hearts fertile ground that bears lasting spiritual fruit.
  • Teach us to view every trial as an opportunity to glorify You.

We offer You heartfelt thanksgiving for the Holy Spirit You have given, for the saints who endured suffering before us, and for the promise of the Holy Spirit available to all who sincerely seek Him.

May we, through vigilance, perseverance, and unwavering faith, receive the full baptism of the Holy Spirit and stand prepared to enter the Bride's procession.

Amen.

Prayer 9 – Prayer for God's Will

O God! I am ready and willing to do Your will. Reveal Yourself to me and speak with me, for You created me. You are my Father, and I am Your child. Just as fathers in this world speak with their children, grant me the blessed privilege to speak with You and hear You speak with me.

O Lord, show Yourself to all and speak with everyone. Humankind has existed for many hundreds of years, yet if You do not appear or speak with us, what hope do we have?

We acknowledge that we are sinners, and perhaps that is why we have not heard from You. We all suffer in many ways, but if You speak to us, our burdens will be lifted.

Lord, the people of this world have divided into many religions. One rejects another, and each teaches in its own way. Some say all religions are the same; others deny Your existence altogether.

How can we know the truth? Though knowledge gives us some understanding, the desire for sin has entered humanity and dulled our ability to discern truth with our conscience.

Therefore, O Lord, speak to us! I place my faith before You and humbly ask:

  • Reveal Your will.
  • Guide me in Your truth.
  • Teach me according to Your perfect plan.

Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism, Christianity, Islam—all their branches are visible in the world.

Christians teach that Christianity is the faith You established and that all other religions should come to it. Yet even within Christianity, differing interpretations have created many denominations.

So, Lord, guide me:

  • In which faith should I remain?
  • Lead me into Your truth.
  • Keep me from error.

Let no false visions, imaginations, or demonic deceptions come near me.

O God, O Father! May this prayer be lifted by everyone—both by those who already believe and by those who sincerely seek to believe.

Plant within every heart the firm conviction:

  • "If I pray this prayer, God will surely answer."

If there are words within this prayer that do not please You, forgive me. Hear our humble plea according to Your mercy.

You have freely given us:

  • Light.
  • Air.
  • Rain.
  • Life.

All these You have given without cost. Because of Your generous and gracious nature, I bow before You with endless reverence.

My worship and devotion are my offerings of gratitude to You.

So be it. Amen.

Prayer 10 – Prayer for Meditation on the Labors of God

O Merciful Father! You have established Your Church so that we may meditate upon the wonders of Your labors. We offer You our heartfelt praises for including us in this sacred beginning day.

Throughout our lives, meditating on the labors of Your eternal life brings us immeasurable benefit and spiritual growth.

Though the Church has appointed special times for reflection, we pray:

"O Lord, in the coming weeks, let us meditate on the history of Your labors not only on Sundays and Fridays but each day in our homes. Grant us the strength, O Father, to set our hearts and minds upon Your works daily, so that we may walk in Your ways and understand Your purposes."

Today, we stand before the face of Your labor history. In the past, Your labors were revealed to us through Scripture; now, may this reflection fill our hearts with awe and devotion.

Wherever this celebration is observed on earth, may Your present truth touch all who participate.

O Lord, to strengthen Your Church, ignite within us a passionate desire to meditate upon Your labors.

May Your Holy Spirit guide us to:

  • Follow Your Word faithfully.
  • Enter deeply into the history of Your mighty works.
  • Understand Your divine purposes.
  • Walk daily according to Your will.

Heavenly Father, we glorify You for accomplishing history through Your beloved Son and recording it for us.

Countless praises be to:

  • The Father.
  • The Son.
  • The Holy Spirit.

May every believer experience joy and fulfillment while meditating upon Your labors.

We offer our hearts in loving devotion through Jesus Christ, who entered the "House of Labors."

Amen.

Prayer 11 – Prayer of Praise for the Holy Bible

i. Praise to the Triune God

O Triune God, Holy Spirit! We humbly gather on this earth to glorify and praise You.

We bring before You the praise that pleases Your heart, and we ask that You receive it through the precious name of Your beloved Son.

ii. Thanksgiving for God's Mercy

O Most Holy God! Though we are unholy and dwell on an unclean earth, You have graciously taught us to call You:

  • "Our Father who art in Heaven."

With courage and reverence we call upon You today, knowing that each day You cleanse us through the precious blood of Your Son.

For this boundless mercy, we offer You our deepest worship.

iii. Praise to the Creator

O Creator and Heavenly Father! We thank You for looking upon the world with love far greater than earthly parents, guiding, sustaining, and protecting all creation.

For this overwhelming care, we lift our hearts in gratitude and praise.

iv. Thanksgiving for God's Revelation

You have spoken to humanity through the saints of old, revealing Your salvation and keeping the world from perishing.

For this enduring love, we offer You endless praises.

v. Thanksgiving for the Holy Bible

Though we are frail and forgetful, You have preserved Your holy words.

Through Your faithful servants:

  • Moses
  • Isaiah
  • Jeremiah
  • Matthew
  • Paul
  • John

You caused Your words and the history of salvation to be written and called it The Holy Bible.

You placed it into the hands of the Church to be read, understood, and taught to all nations.

a. Thanksgiving for Bible Translation

Even in later times, You raised up Your servant Martin Luther in the fifteenth century to translate Your Word and make it accessible to all people.

Through these works, Lord, Your Word continues to shine:

  • Guiding hearts.
  • Teaching truth.
  • Bringing salvation.

For all this, we lift our voices in eternal praise and thanksgiving.

vi. Prayer for the Living Word

O Lord! Let Your Word dwell richly in our hearts, transforming our lives, guiding our steps, and filling us with Your Holy Spirit.

May we:

  • Honor Your Word.
  • Obey Your Word.
  • Proclaim Your Word faithfully.

So that the glory of Your Word may reach every corner of the earth.

vii. Thanksgiving for the Bible Society

O Lord! In the eighteenth century, through Your daughter—the Queen of England—You established the Bible Society.

From that time until this day, countless sums of money have been spent, and millions upon millions of Bibles and copies of Your Holy Word have been printed and distributed throughout the world.

For this wonderful work, we offer You endless praises and thanksgiving.

viii. Thanksgiving for the Bible in Many Languages

At first, You caused a portion of Your Holy Book to be written in the Hebrew language, and later the second part in the Greek language.

In the fullness of time, You enabled the Holy Bible to be translated and printed in more than two thousand languages throughout the world.

Therefore, Lord, we lay countless loving kisses at Your holy feet in adoration and thanksgiving.

ix. Thanksgiving for Missionary Translators

Many spoken languages had no written form. Therefore, You raised up wise, devoted missionary scholars who created alphabets for those languages so that the Holy Bible could be translated, printed, and shared among their people.

This glorious work continues even today.

For this, Lord, we offer You unending praise and worship.

x. Thanksgiving for the Bible in India

In India, where there are one hundred and twenty-seven languages, You have caused the Bible to be made available in one hundred and nineteen of them.

For this, Lord, we bow before You with deep gratitude.

You have even placed the Bible into the hands of those who once had no desire to read it.

For this also, we offer You countless thanksgivings.

xi. Thanksgiving for Bible Teachers and Christian Literature

To explain the truths of the Holy Bible, You have raised up interpreters and commentators who continue writing without ceasing.

Along with them, You have inspired many to publish Christian journals and magazines that carry Your message far and wide.

Their work too continues without end.

xii. Thanksgiving for Gospel Preachers

Furthermore, You have sent preachers into every land:

  • Into forests.
  • Among cannibal tribes.
  • Into villages.
  • Into cities.
  • Before hostile people.
  • Even where books opposing Christ, the Church, and the Bible have been written.

For this, we glorify the infinite wisdom and power of Your mind, O Lord.

xiii. Thanksgiving for Gospel Missions

Even though the Church has been divided into hundreds of missions, You have still caused the work of the Gospel to spread among them all.

For this gracious purpose, we offer You many praises.

xiv. Thanksgiving for Bible Mission

Yet, as many missions and believers were unable to proclaim the complete Gospel, in the year 1938 You revealed and established Your Bible Mission.

For this divine work, Lord, we offer You countless praises and thanksgiving.

xv. Thanksgiving for God's Faithfulness

Because it was a new mission, many people looked upon it with confusion and wonder.

Yet despite reproach, weakness, opposition, and many obstacles, You faithfully sustained and led this Bible Mission until the year 2004.

For this, O Lord, we exalt You with unending praise.

xvi. Prayer for Unity

When confusion arose among some within the Bible Mission, and a few separated themselves—believing it should not have branches nor be forsaken, since it was revealed by God Himself—still, through them also You have continued to proclaim the Gospel.

Yet, Lord, I humbly beseech You:

  • Appear to them Yourself.
  • Speak to them in dreams or visions.
  • Ask them, "Why have you left your inner dwelling place?"

I trust that You Yourself will accomplish this work.

Therefore, I lift up praises unto You, O Lord.

Amen.

Prayer 12 – Prayer for Removing Hindrances

O Father! O Father who hastens! O Father who is eager to come quickly! O Father who urges that Thy Church must be prepared soon—many praises to Thee!

The day and the people appointed for me are coming.

Thou art the Father who said to the Red Sea,

  • "Make a way by pressing aside this side and that side."

Many salutations to Thee!

Now also, speak that same word again:

  • "My Church is coming to Heaven; therefore, O Christians in name within the Church, step aside!"
  • "You also, move aside."

When those on the right and those on the left have stepped aside, grant that Thou mayest come and take up Thy Church into the clouds without letting it turn either to the right or to the left.

Grant all of us sitting here the grace to remain steadfast and unmoved.

Give us:

  • Calmness of mind.
  • Steadfast faith.
  • Eyes fixed upon Thee.
  • Hope directed toward Heaven.
  • Expectation of the New Jerusalem.

As the Israelites looked forward, grant us also the strength and stillness of mind to look toward Thee.

O Lord, let us not look toward the pleasures of this world on our right hand, nor toward our sufferings on the left; but let our eyes be steadily fixed upon Thee—toward Heaven, toward the clouds, toward the saints in glory, toward Thy throne, and toward the New Jerusalem.

At this moment, we thank Thee that Thou hast already given us one message through this very prayer—the message Thou hast intended for us now.

From our Bible reading, we plead:

  • "Grant us the message that is due for this time."

As those who have gathered here from various places are united in this veranda, so also let those who come from Heaven be with us through Thy grace.

Thou who art ever present—we praise Thee!

Turn the eyes of all of us toward:

  • Thyself.
  • Thy people.
  • Thy mercies.

Let no unworthy thought enter into any of our minds.

Bless each one of us in a unique way.

Just as the rays of the sun fall upon both clean and unclean places, let the rays of Thy present Word shine upon the hearts of the pure, and let those same rays also reach the hearts of those who are impure or sinful, bringing cleansing.

Let all our prayers, our Bible readings, and all our efforts be fulfilled according to Thy perfect will.

O Lord Jesus, who art coming very soon—we humbly beseech Thee to hear us.

Amen.

Prayer 13 – Prayer for Examinations

Merciful Lord, the season of examinations has drawn near, and countless students come before You in need of guidance and strength.

Many have written to us requesting our prayers. O Lord, bless each one of them.

Look upon them with Your gracious eyes and inspire them to turn to You in prayer themselves.

Grant them:

  • Diligence in their studies.
  • Clarity of memory.
  • Sufficient time.
  • Freedom from every distraction.
  • Freedom from every obstacle.
  • Your divine guidance in every examination.

Compassionate Lord, some students may feel overwhelmed or discouraged when they experience failure. A few may even be driven to despair.

Have mercy upon them.

Protect them from discouragement and every harmful thought. Let them know Your loving presence so that they may continue with hope, confidence, and courage.

Whether Christian or from other faiths, all who sincerely seek Your help are Your children.

Grant them reassurance, peace, and confidence in their hearts.

We also bring before You every prayer request written to us and every letter asking:

  • "Please pray for me."

We place every request at Your feet and ask that You answer them according to Your holy and perfect will.

Bless every student whose prayer requests have reached us or will reach us in the future.

For those requests that are not according to Your divine purpose, let them not even come before us, so that only those prayers You desire to answer may be presented before Your holy presence.

O Lord, let every sincere prayer rise before You and be answered.

Protect Your ministry and let Your glory be revealed through the fulfillment of these petitions.

May every student experience:

  • Your wisdom.
  • Your guidance.
  • Your protection.
  • Your favor.
  • Success that glorifies Your holy name.

We offer this prayer with complete faith, trusting in Your mercy, compassion, and almighty care.

Let Your perfect will be accomplished in the lives of all who seek You.

May Your holy name be praised forever.

Amen.

Prayer 14 – Prayer of Meditation on the Cross

It is written that we must fix our gaze upon You. Just as the sun rises in the east and we turn our eyes toward it in the morning—not toward the west—so, O Righteous Sun, grant us the grace to behold You wherever You are revealed in Your Word.

Give us steadfastness to see You every day, even if only once.

Like a deer that drinks without looking around, may our hearts remain fixed on You alone.

Since You are present in this fellowship, grant us the faith to see You here and now.

The saints of old saw You:

  • In prophecy.
  • In visions.
  • Wherever You appeared.
  • In Bethlehem.
  • In Egypt.
  • In Naphtali.
  • In resting places.
  • In the courts.
  • Upon the Cross.

Even before Your birth they beheld You. After Your birth, the disciples saw You. Now, in this present age, may we behold You with faith in our meditation fellowship.

If the saints of the Old Covenant saw You in visions, and the saints of the New Covenant saw You in person, then grant us—who live in these latter days—the grace to behold You by faith.

You grant Your presence to whom You will; we humbly ask that You grant it to us also.

When we meet You tomorrow, let our eyes be fixed on You alone.

  • We will not look toward the world.
  • We will not look toward suffering.
  • We will not look toward Satan.
  • We will not look toward hell.

Teach us to train our hearts to look only toward You, leaving worldly distractions behind.

By the sight of the soul, may we behold You where You truly are, and grant us the joy of this spiritual vision.

You have been with the saints of every age:

  • The Old Covenant.
  • The New Covenant.
  • The Church age.
  • Modern believers.

Though we are few, You are with us too. Grant us the grace to see You right here in our midst.

When You rose again, the angel reminded the disciples:

  • "You shall see Him in Galilee." (Matthew 28:5–7)

Truly, so it happened. As You were with them, so You are with us. You remain near to all who are steadfast in meditation.

Since You have come here today, grant us the grace to behold You in this very place.

Grant us:

  • Unwavering minds.
  • Steady vision.
  • Firm faith.
  • Spiritual composure.

May none among us be distracted, but may all behold You in the promises of Your Word.

We offer You countless adorations.

If You are in one place and we look elsewhere, we err. Grant us the grace to see You where You dwell in Your Word.

When You were seized, the disciples lost courage and fled. In times of trial, many lose faith and composure.

Grant us the grace to remain steadfast, unshaken, and focused.

Of the twelve disciples:

  • One fell away.
  • Later, ten more turned back.
  • Only one followed You to the end.

Yet You promised to be with us always.

John remained with You; may we also keep our promise to remain with You.

Let both promises be fulfilled:

  • You with us.
  • We with You.

For if You are with us but we are not with You, what profit is there? Grant us the grace to abide with You forever.

We have heard that You declared, "I am the Christ, the Son of God," even during the Church age—a truth upheld across centuries.

We now behold You standing before us even today. We see You before authorities, priests, and in our congregations—for even we share in that blessedness.

Though You were condemned and sentenced, You bore the judgment meant for us.

We remember with gratitude that:

  • You bore our punishment.
  • You bore our judgment.
  • You bore our sins.
  • You bore our sicknesses.
  • You bore our afflictions.

How blessed we are to meditate upon this truth!

O Father, who bore our judgment, we bow in reverence at Your feet.

Though it was sorrowful for You, it became salvation for us.

Grant us tears for our own weakness—not for You—and help us cultivate steadfastness and spiritual composure.

Now there is no judgment, no court, and no cross remaining for us, because You are in glory.

We remember that You carried all our:

  • Sin.
  • Punishment.
  • Judgment.
  • Sickness.
  • Affliction.

Therefore, we bow before You in worship and offer You endless praise, Lord Jesus Christ.

The greatness of Your act lies in the answer You gave, though many did not understand it. They should have rejoiced when You declared Yourself to be the Son of God. The Samaritan woman believed immediately and brought others to You, but many others refused to believe.

You are both God and Savior—our twofold blessing and our everlasting comfort. You willingly took upon Yourself the work of saving us. Therefore, You alone are our Savior and our God.

Grant our hearts steadfastness to behold You in this way. If our minds wander during this prayer, forgive us.

Amen.

To let the mind dwell on something else is a fault. To allow our thoughts to wander elsewhere is also a fault.

Lord, keep us free from both these faults.

O Lord, we cannot comprehend the depth of Your suffering. Did even the chief priests understand it?

We shall only know its full meaning when we reach Heaven. Only then will we fully realize the shame of hell and the greatness of the salvation You accomplished for us.

You are the Creator, and all people were created by You—yet they dared to judge You.

How much You endured for our salvation!

With a single word of power, You could have revealed Yourself, and they would have immediately recognized who You were.

Yet because You came to save humanity, You willingly accepted every suffering for that very purpose.

Your eyes are continually upon us, and Your purpose has always been to save us.

Therefore, is it not right that we should keep our minds fixed upon You rather than upon ourselves?

You continually think about us. Should we not continually think about You?

We have only one purpose:

  • To escape the snares of sin.
  • To be delivered from evil.
  • To remain in constant fellowship with You.

We desire to look toward You, yet unnecessary thoughts often arise within us. Our minds wander in many different directions.

We confess before You that this also is a fault. Indeed, it is a sin.

Our minds are under our own responsibility. No one else can rule them for us.

Grant us the grace to keep our thoughts fixed upon You and not allow them to wander away.

If we do this faithfully, how great will be the glory we shall one day share through the work You have accomplished for us!

We must carry our own small burden, because You have already carried the greatest burden—the burden of the Cross.

Grant us composure of mind when we go to the temple tomorrow.

Grant us the same composure when we are at home.

Likewise, bless us with steadfastness of mind as we continue in this fellowship.

During this Holy Week, grant us the grace to meditate upon every stage of Your passion:

  • The composure of Gethsemane.
  • The composure before the court.
  • The composure while You were scourged.
  • The composure while You carried the Cross.
  • The composure while You hung upon the Cross.
  • The composure even in death.

Amid every trial and temptation, grant us stability of vision, firmness of faith, spiritual composure, and unwavering devotion to You.

Amen.

Prayer 15 – Prayer for Steadfast Faith amid Adversity

O God, You are Almighty and full of divine wisdom and perfect strategy. We believe that because of Your infinite power and understanding, You are able to turn every circumstance—however difficult it may appear—according to Your perfect will.

When good things come, we rejoice greatly. But grant us, Lord, the same spirit of joy, confidence, and gratitude even when adversity arises.

Whenever we hear of trouble or hardship, let us be stirred with the holy expectation that says:

  • "Our Father is preparing to bestow a blessing even greater than before."

Just as a child comes to know the depth of a parent's love during times of need, so also, O God, when affliction visits us, grant us the wisdom to know and experience Your love more deeply.

When the brook that supplied Elijah dried up, and his daily source of provision was cut off, You provided for him in an even greater way—from Your own hidden storehouse.

Likewise, O Father, whenever one source of help comes to an end for Your children, You open another way of provision, because everything remains under Your authority and submits to Your command.

O Lord, when any evil or hardship comes upon us through our own fault, grant us the grace of correction and true repentance.

When we cannot immediately see the good that You are working through our circumstances, keep our hearts steady, our minds peaceful, and our faith unshaken.

O Lord, when:

  • The clouds refuse to give rain.
  • The sun hides its light.
  • The winds uproot the trees.
  • Darkness surrounds us.
  • Every direction appears filled with distress.

Grant us the grace to remain unmoved in spirit, steadfast in faith, and strong in our trust in You.

Let our confidence never rest in what we see with our natural eyes, but always in You—our unchanging Heavenly Father.

Your love is able to turn even the darkest night into the brightness of dawn.

Amen.

Prayer 16 – Prayer for Deliverance from the Nature of the Flesh

O God! Remove from within us the human nature that is contrary to Your divine will.

We surrender it completely into Your hands. Let us never reclaim it again by turning our thoughts back toward it.

Instead, establish within us Your own divine nature.

Then, O Lord, from our very being will flow:

  • Pure thoughts.
  • Holy words.
  • Righteous hearing.
  • Sanctified sight.
  • Heavenly songs.
  • Gracious actions.
  • A life pleasing in Your sight.

We praise You, Lord!

May only Your holy and sanctified nature have dominion within us.

Amen.

O God! Likewise, cause everything belonging to the old human nature to be removed completely from us.

Grant us willing hearts to surrender that old nature freely into Your hands.

O God! Let the old nature never return again.

Let the new divine nature not only come into us, but remain within us forever.

As Your Word declares:

  • "The one who plants and the one who waters are nothing, but it is God who gives the increase."

Therefore we understand that our salvation is not by our own efforts but entirely by Your grace.

By our own righteousness we can obtain nothing.

We will not depend upon:

  • Our own strength.
  • Our own efforts.
  • Our own songs.

Instead, we depend wholly upon Your grace.

Yet grant us diligence and perseverance through that same grace, so that we may never grow weary in pursuing holiness.

O God, transform our nature into the very likeness that pleases You.

Establish it firmly by Your Holy Spirit.

Let none of these have authority over us:

  • Satan.
  • Sin.
  • Sickness.
  • Death.
  • Hell.
  • Our old human nature.

They have no claim over us, for they neither created us nor keep the lamp of holiness burning within us.

Grant us the bold assurance to declare:

  • "They have not shed their blood for us—it was Christ who shed His blood for us."

Remove from within us:

  • Anger.
  • Jealousy.
  • Pride.
  • Laziness.
  • Covetousness.
  • Impatience.
  • Irritability.
  • Fear.
  • Unbelief.
  • Murmuring.
  • Complaining.
  • Worry.
  • Distraction.
  • Greed.
  • Haste.
  • Wastefulness.
  • Irresponsibility.
  • Carelessness.
  • Cruelty.
  • Evil desires.
  • Despair.
  • Every unholy tendency that resists Your Holy Spirit.

Grant us the grace to cast every care, every sorrow, and every inner struggle upon You.

Teach us to lay all our anxieties at Your feet and live in holy fearlessness, peace, and perfect rest.

Whatever evil may come upon us, turn it into good, for You are able to make even adversity serve Your divine purpose.

We believe that Your grace is sufficient in every situation.

If it is Your will, You can:

  • Remove the evil.
  • Prevent it from coming.
  • Transform it into an even greater blessing.

Amen.

Prayer 17 – Prayer to the Holy Spirit

O Holy Spirit, Divine Guide! Lead us into all truth and protect us from wandering into error or falsehood.

Many teach in this world in diverse and confusing ways, making it difficult for our minds to discern. Grant us clear understanding, O Spirit, and teach us the truth.

Show us Your ways and instruct us in Your methods.

Let not the words of men sway us; let only what You speak be our desire.

Instill in us a deep love for the truth.

Guide us abundantly into Your truth and grant us the living blessings You have prepared for us.

Reveal to us marvelous and wonderful things that will fill our hearts with joy.

Transform us by Your truth, O Spirit, and let it become a source of profound delight in our lives.

Though we face:

  • Trials.
  • Hardships.
  • Weakness.
  • Opposition.

May nothing prevent us from receiving and embracing Your truth.

When distractions arise, let Your truth remain clear and unshakable in our hearts.

Even amidst extreme teachings or conflicting voices, grant us the discernment to recognize only what is truly Your truth and nothing else.

O Holy Spirit, let the very nature of Your truth dwell within us, breaking apart every falsehood.

O God, the embodiment of truth, let nothing hinder Your work in us.

Empower us, guide us, and fill us with unwavering faith in Your truth.

This is our prayer.

This is our belief.

Amen, Amen, Amen.

Prayer 18 – Prayer for Authority Over Darkness

a. Authority Over Satan

O God! Let Satan—who brought sin into this world—have no power over us.

We praise You, Lord, for Your Word declares:

  • "I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy."
  • "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Gracious Lord, grant us strong and steadfast faith that drives away all the works and powers of the evil one.

Whenever the adversary uses his strength, cunning, and influence against us, remind us of Your Word, O Lord, and fill us with courage and spiritual power.

Teach us how to use Your Word so that the enemy may flee.

Grant us the grace never to give even the slightest consent in our hearts to his authority.

Even in the smallest matters, help us remain holy, steadfast, and unwavering, never yielding to his dominion.

O Lord, You have conquered the devil, and therefore his power also has been defeated.

For this glorious victory we offer You praise and thanksgiving.

When the enemy appears mighty and intimidating, remind us that he possesses no true authority.

Help us always remember that the devil is a defeated foe.

Your Word declares:

  • "The Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil."

Let this promise remain alive within our hearts, for through it we receive victory over Satan and all his works.

Whenever the thought arises:

  • "He has deceived many great people; will he not deceive me too?"

Remind us that such thoughts come from the kingdom of darkness and not from You.

Grant us holy discernment to reject every lie and to live continually in the triumph of Your truth.

Amen.

b. Authority Over the Fallen Human Nature

O God! Let the fallen human nature that entered us through Satan have no authority over us.

The works of the devil have been destroyed through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and through that same blood our flesh and its sinful desires are overcome.

Let us never believe the saying of the world:

  • "This human nature will never depart until the body returns to dust."

For Your Word promises that You will make us a new creation.

Fulfill this promise within us, O Lord.

When You walked upon this earth, although You took upon Yourself human form, You possessed no trace of corrupt human nature.

Praise be to You!

You bore the holy likeness of man—pure, perfect, and without sin.

Therefore, You possess the power to remove the sinful nature from us and restore the original holiness You once gave to our first parents.

Grant us that same purity, holiness, and sanctified nature, O Lord.

Praise, glory, honor, and thanksgiving be unto You forever.
