Duties of Bible Mission Members

Bible Mission members are called to live a disciplined Christian life through daily devotion, prayer, holiness, fellowship, and faithful service. The following duties are intended to strengthen every believer's spiritual walk and encourage growth in Christ.

1. Daily Bible Reading

Cultivate the practice of reading the Bible daily in an orderly and consistent manner without fail.

2. Daily Private Prayer

Develop the habit of spending time in personal, solitary prayer every day, seeking God's presence with sincerity and devotion.

3. Daily Praise

Do not forget to praise and thank God in every little matter, day by day. A thankful heart strengthens faith and brings glory to God.

4. Daily Waiting in God’s Presence

Make it your daily practice to wait before God with reverence and expectation.

  • After resting from sleep, before dawn—between 4:00–5:00 a.m., or at least 5:00–6:00 a.m.—spend at least one hour on your knees in prayer.
  • By doing this, you will receive every blessing, and all kinds of troubles will be removed.
  • Though prayer can be offered at any time during the day, no hour is equal to the early morning hour.

This is a firm counsel and the chief duty among all duties to be fulfilled.

5. Daily Bible Learning

Do not only read the Scriptures, but also learn and study the Word of God every day to grow in wisdom and understanding.

6. Examine Your Conduct

Examine your life regularly and strive to live in holiness.

  • See that no faults remain in your daily life.
  • Do not knowingly commit mistakes.
  • If you do commit errors, make every effort to correct them.
  • Do not live as if you have no faults while continuing in them.
  • Put away evil habits, and quickly adopt good virtues.
  • As members of the Bible Mission, do not only receive instruction, but also be ones who give instruction to one another.

7. Evangelism and Testimony

Always be ready to proclaim the Gospel and share fresh experiences and living testimonies of God's work with others.

8. Daily Purity

Since you enter into the presence of God, practice daily cleansing and maintain purity in thought, word, and deed.

9. Family Responsibilities

Fulfil all your household duties in proper order. There must be no negligence in these matters.

10. Daily Fellowship Attendance

Members must attend fellowship gatherings faithfully and without fail (Read Hebrews 10:23–24).

11. Resolving Conflicts Quickly

Whenever misunderstandings arise between members, they should be resolved immediately.

  • Problems are never fully settled without direct conversation.
  • Truth cannot be known through hearsay.
  • Do not rely on reports or gossip; speak directly and resolve matters.

12. Abstinence from Addictions

Do not use intoxicating substances or tobacco products. This is a fundamental principle for all believers.

13. No Caste Practices

No element of caste or community distinctions should be allowed to enter into the fellowship. All believers are one in Christ.

14. Separate Gatherings When Possible

As far as possible, it is beneficial to conduct meetings separately for women and men for greater order and spiritual benefit.

15. Growth of Fellowships

Every member should contribute to the growth and expansion of the ministry.

  • Every local fellowship must ensure that it grows day by day.
  • Members should also make efforts to establish new fellowships in other places.

16. Learning the Word Thoroughly

Apart from regular subjects, members should especially study and be well prepared in the Scriptures concerning:

  • The Holy Spirit
  • The Second Coming of Christ
  • Divine Healing
  • Faith

Every member should be able to answer confidently by identifying where important Bible verses are found.

17. Study Good Literature

Members should obtain and diligently study helpful Christian books and tracts, including:

  • Good Teachings
  • The Second Coming
  • Holy Spirit Outpouring
  • The Message of Peace

It is beneficial to learn these teachings thoroughly, even by heart.

18. Encourage, Don't Discourage

Do not discourage anyone in any matter. Instead, encourage people according to the Word of God and through prayer fellowship.

19. Welcome Newcomers and Teach Them

Receive newcomers warmly and provide them with appropriate teaching.

  • Do not discourage new people from attending fellowship.
  • Arrange special teaching sessions to help them understand earlier lessons.
  • Teach newcomers and long-time members appropriately so both groups continue to grow spiritually.

20. Do Not Publicize Others' Visions or Dreams

If visions, dreams, or revelations belong to a particular person, do not share them publicly as though they are meant for everyone. Doing so dishonours the Word of God.

21. Give the Tithe of Your Income

Giving one-tenth of your income is a Biblical practice and should be done cheerfully.

  • Calculate the tithe from your total income, not what remains after expenses.
  • Give joyfully, knowing that you are obeying God and helping others.
  • Faithful giving also contributes to a believer's spiritual growth.

22. Believe Fully That the Father Will Provide

Whenever you have a need, believe wholeheartedly that the Heavenly Father will provide. This is the life of faith.

23. Raise Children in Godliness

Take great care and labour diligently to bring up children in the fear of God and in faithful service to Him.

Live Faithfully as Members of Bible Mission

By faithfully practising these duties, every member grows spiritually, strengthens the fellowship, and glorifies God through a life of obedience, holiness, and dedicated service.
